IGNOMINY

Villainous things happen on my father's field
A place where the sick is not healed
A place that has food more than enough
Yet hunger kills the inhabitants thereof

Groups of terrorists contemptuously operate regularly
Massacre of sinless men what an unpleasant gory!
Raping every woman irrespective of her age
Killing farmers on their farms what an awful carnage!

For travellers there is neither safety nor freedom
Bandits abduct them and demand for ransom
Ransom fully paid and still they are slaughtered
And the bereaved's call to the government is unanswered

Worst still the government gives terrorists huge pay-offs
They exhaust them and operate again for more pay-offs
Thus powers that be drums for terrorism
And terrorists dance with more enthusiasm

Meanwhile powers that be send bullets to peaceful protesters
I mean unarmed and thus harmless protesters
Peaceful protesters are murdered
Armed terrorists are pampered

The field defence officer chants self-defence inanely
How can unarmed citizens face an armed army?
Tell me the safety that lies in the so-called self-defence
When one man who once did it was given a death sentence

Unprecedented or unheard-of you may say
But it's my father's field and that's the order of the day
Nefarious activities occur without government's scrutiny
The authority instead boasts of them in ignominy
