THE GLORY OF ORANGE

The orange tree brings out its fruits
One of every tree's attributes
The aim and pride of every plant
As the earth's nature remains constant

Humans see Orange's glory from afar
In the green sky it shines like a star
They get stones and hurl at it
Moving nearer and with rod they beat it

And then the glory of Orange falls
In man's hands the fruits roll like balls
What really a wicked world!
Whose darts at one's glory are hurled

And as if that is not even enough
Man strips Orange's clothes off
And with force squeezes it
So that it's sweetness comes out of it

Man enjoys Orange's sweetness
And casts out its bitterness
But Orange does not give up
For in bitterness it again sprouts up

And thus from its bitterness
Comes out Orange's sweetness
So the wickedness of man is to whose interest?
When from his wickedness one's glory is made manifest
