THOUGHTS OF LIFE

I think over and over again
And still my heart cannot contain
All the heights that we attain
All the things that we obtain
How long can they sustain?
How much can we retain?
All our leaders campaign
And after their victory is certain
They all pop champagne
Then they seek for what to gain
And forget the nation's pain
If anyone should complain
Cops lead him to detain
And still my heart cannot contain
All the heights that we attain
All the things that we obtain
How long can they sustain?
How much can we retain?
All our leaders campaign
And after their victory is certain
They all pop champagne
Then they seek for what to gain
And forget the nation's pain
If anyone should complain
Cops lead him to detain
Even our clerics are not plain
Though they pray on the mountain
They still walk on evil lane
A swindler, who will retain?
A murderer, who will ordain?
So worshippers become insane
Though they pray on the mountain
They still walk on evil lane
A swindler, who will retain?
A murderer, who will ordain?
So worshippers become insane
The poor man sell sugarcane
But poverty will always remain
'Cause it's the poor that buy the sugarcane
Meanwhile some folks spend currency of Britain
Money falls into their house like rain
Some fetch the money from bloody fountain
You think my words are not germane?
Now let me explain
But poverty will always remain
'Cause it's the poor that buy the sugarcane
Meanwhile some folks spend currency of Britain
Money falls into their house like rain
Some fetch the money from bloody fountain
You think my words are not germane?
Now let me explain
Birth is an airplane
Death is a locomotive train
Birth brought us from the Sovereign
Death will take us back to the Sovereign
Mother is the pilot of the airplane
Life is the driver of the train
Life teaches us how to obtain
Life teaches us how to attain
Life gives us gain
Life gives us pain
But how long can they remain?
And how long can we maintain?
Death is a locomotive train
Birth brought us from the Sovereign
Death will take us back to the Sovereign
Mother is the pilot of the airplane
Life is the driver of the train
Life teaches us how to obtain
Life teaches us how to attain
Life gives us gain
Life gives us pain
But how long can they remain?
And how long can we maintain?
