ICHABOD
Ichabod is not funny
It means departed glory
A woman was in child labour
That moment when woman hates her blood odour
The moment when she is in the blues
Came to her some bad news
First that her father-in-law was dead
Her husband should reign in his stead
But her husband and his only brother
Died in the battle in one way or another
Still in the child labour of course
Another news made the matter worse
Before I tell you let me pray
You will never receive bad news in any way
The Ark, the symbol of their security
With the Ark they had every audacity
To fight any battle and win
As long as they were not in sin
Alas the Ark was captured!
Their glory was fractured
The Ark was called the Ark of God
As she died she begot what she called Ichabod
It means departed glory
A woman was in child labour
That moment when woman hates her blood odour
The moment when she is in the blues
Came to her some bad news
First that her father-in-law was dead
Her husband should reign in his stead
But her husband and his only brother
Died in the battle in one way or another
Still in the child labour of course
Another news made the matter worse
Before I tell you let me pray
You will never receive bad news in any way
The Ark, the symbol of their security
With the Ark they had every audacity
To fight any battle and win
As long as they were not in sin
Alas the Ark was captured!
Their glory was fractured
The Ark was called the Ark of God
As she died she begot what she called Ichabod
