PRESTIGE

Image from Google

I have seen the poor honoured at his absence
I have seen the rich humiliated in his presence
One of them has what is called prestige
The other only understands money's language
But prestige is worth having
Money is also worth having
But prestige should not be traded for money
Because prestige is far above money
So I go to my land every holiday
And these are what my people has to say
Adeniyi says Crown has prestige
Olaniyi says Wealth has prestige
Owoniyi says Money has prestige
Eweniyi says Herbs has prestige
Akinniyi says the Brave has prestige
Faniyi says the Oracle has prestige
So I ask, "What is prestige?"
Omoniyi says Child is prestige
Do I have to produce an offspring?
So  that in me prestige will spring?
Let every good thing in you procreate
Make the less people great
This is what my people call prestige
And it is an individual's heritage
